About Us

Goddard Warehousing was established 34 years ago from a leather importing business owned by Managing Director Chris Goddard’s' father.

Starting from one small unit in Wellingborough, the company developed in association with the shoe and leather trades to occupy three warehouses.

Increasing demand for Goddard Warehousing services were such that a move became necessary. Our present site at Finedon Sidings provided the solution with suitable warehousing on a five-acre site, giving room for further expansion.

This move in 1990 enabled steady expansion over the next few years, during which time the company's client base expanded to include a wide variety of product operations as diverse as ceramics and foodstuffs.

Growth of the company's delivery fleet, in line with storage and distribution contracts provided the capacity to undertake external haulage work, a reliable service now used by many local businesses.

The excellent location of our site and its potential for growth provided a ready answer when demand for services continued to grow. A re-development plan was decided upon and additional warehousing to the highest specifications was erected, incorporating up to the minute features.

Within a few weeks of commissionioning, the new facility was running at capacity and created a major improvement to our overall handling efficiency.
